Hey there! I want to tell you how chess can become a sin. Two of the ten commandments are, "Thou shalt have no gods before me." That god could be chess. The next one of the ten commandments is, "Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image." That graven image could be chess. That means that you love chess more than you love God. These two ways chess can become a sin.

As for Tuffy, what you’re saying is that you feel because some people spend a lot of time on Chess, that means they worship chess. By that logic, every Olympic athlete worships the sport they are playing. There’s a difference between worshiping something and being extremely focused on/committed to something. Someone who becomes a surgeon is not necessarily worshiping the medical profession, just because they spend their lives studying to become and then practicing as a surgeon. Spending time playing chess is much better than say drinking, smoking, gambling, or doing other things that are truly not good for you. Your logic is flawed in another way: people don’t hold chess up as some kind of God. I play chess because it’s fun, but it also is a good mental/brain exercise. It’s important to keep “exercising your brain” and playing chess is a great way to do that. Stop trying to find problems where they don’t exist. There are plenty of problems in the world to worry about; don’t invent one with chess for crying out loud.

Chess isnt a sin i want to say putting heroin in your body is, and it probably is but natives used to use poppy seeds. Bottom line sin is bs, all you got in this world are your principles and they arent derived from a life thats based on no one ever, because no one is perfect. The bible is a bunch of horse, it was designed to satiate people who were conflicted about their emotions which also happened to be a useful tool for propaganda

It's ok to have chess as a hobby but if you start loving chess more than you love God then it becomes a sin. Because of the commandment, "Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image." Chess can become a god to people just like how a statue can become a god to people there is no difference what you worship if it's not God. A sin is a sin.

Tuffy, you come off as someone with a chip on their shoulder over chess. I have refuted your argument soundly and you just ignore that and keep posting the same thing over and over. We get it, you think that because some people play chess a lot they are making it a graven image unto themselves 🙄. To say that’s a stretch is a massive understatement. All it does is make you look like someone who is frustrated that they aren’t very good at chess and so you’re lashing out and hiding behind the Bible/religion. Frankly, you’re using the Bible/religion in vain, so that’s more of a sin than the garbage you’re spouting.

Do you have a sibling or friend or someone who’s better than you and it’s really frustrating you? No one agrees with you that chess is a religion or a graven image for anyone. People have clearly already stopped taking you seriously. If you think that playing chess a lot is a sin, then you repeating this garbage over and over is a bigger sin, so stop sinning and save everyone’s time.

On the other hand, if you want to be a clown, by all means keep spouting this garbage. I’m sure everyone’s just dying to hear you continue to take the Lords name in vain.
