I mean just a simple king, back and forth, back and forth.
This is why I never resign unless I have to leave a game

I play mainly for the enjoyment of playing. My level is consistently improving over time in terms of bullet which is my main game mode.

I usually resign too, might change my outlook now!!
This is a fairly regular occurrence. Not always as lopsided as this, but you'd be surprised how many players will refuse to mate you when you have just a king.
Does this happen often in bullet (I don't play bullet because of slow reflexes)? I've never had a game where my opponent deliberately avoids checkmating me in order to "pile on the queens."

I can see not resigning in bullet. I've had a few games where I played on in a losing position because I didn't think that my opponent had enough time left to checkmate me.

This series of discussions has re ignited my fire for daily chess though. I'm gonna sign up for the next daily tourney. Remember though, if you get drawn against me then game ends in either checkmate or stale mate.

@woton it doesn't happen at the lower level, people are too conscious of time. But once you get past 1500 it does happen more regularly, a lot more than you'd think with only a minute on the clock.

A few months ago I signed up for about... too many.... daily tournaments and ended up with over 130 games.
Was fun (not really).

If you like fast play, Daily can be quite frustrating. I once had a simple checkmate go on for two or three months because my opponent used the full time control (2 days 23+hours for each move). Also, if you advance early in the round, there's a good chance that you may wait months for the next round to start.

Daily never gets frustrating, I can play bullet whenever I want. The problem with daily is three fold. 1) I don't trust my opponents. 2) I don't take long enough thinking about my move. 3) I forget I have a game and time out.

Number 3 is why I mentioned that it may be months before the next round. I am advancing to the next round of a tournament that I am in. Looking at the remaining games, I figure that it will be February or so before the next round starts. Will I still be checking my Daily games when it starts? Who knows?
Depends where you're shuffling it to, what pieces the opponent has, what squares they are attacking.
