This Site was a chess articles Site. The developer of program named Chess Mentor borrowed it for a large sum of money. I read it on Internet. Is this true?

If I'm not mistaken the domain was purchased in order to build this site.  Erik/chess.com were not the original owners.

I believe this is also the case.  In addition to purchasing and repurposing the domain, Chess Mentor was acquired and much improved.
