This thread will upset Chess dot Com

Cheating--- Will they allow this thread to be posted?  Doubtful, but let's see if they do.  The cheating is out of control on this website.  Players from 1000 - 1400 playing games at 90% accuracy past 25 moves, consistently, and instantly without using much of the clock.  Reporting them does not seem to result in them being banned.  If you decide to play rated play, the website seems to hold you in a rating window, never allowing you to escape.  You will win 10 games in a row, then lose 20 games in a row, and win a couple, then lose a couple, never really escaping a 200 rating point window.  It is possible that chess dot com does not have the players online to allow for quick game queues so they use bots posing as real players, that are tuned to win or lose.  This allows them to perpetuate the illusion they have instant queues, test YOU for cheating, demoralize you into believing you need to purchase their subscription and pay for lessons, and to keep real players down in rating ranges that have the most in queue to play.  I can beat the 2000 - 2200 bots with ease, i regularly beat 2000+ rated players, and daily defeat 1800+ in "non-rated" games.  The moment I play a rated game, i go on losing streaks.  I go back to unrated, and stomp anyone 1400-1800 with ease.  Enough is enough on this website.  I wish they would do something, or someone would expose them publicly for the scams that are going on.

The perception of cheating levels is orders of magnitude more than the actual amount. The vast majority of games and players are clean.

https://www.chess.com/article/view/chesscom-update-march-2025#FairPlay

The site closed more than 100,000 accounts in February for fair play violations and has a full team of staff working on reports along with some automated systems for detection.

That said, discussions of cheating, potential cheating, or cheat detection are not allowed in the general forums.
