Threads Are Like Flypaper: They Want You To Stick Around

Sort:

It is every litle- time thread witers pleasure to have you stick around their themes on cyberspace.  Id like to create a thread where people are free to be themselves , like Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh's Ranch in Oregon back in the 1980's.

Heh, I can't imagine Oregon being a place I'd stick around in very long, but this ranch sounds interesting.

HolyFlame777

yes indeed look up Osho and his whole thing on you tube, aka and originall Bhagwan Shree rajneesh.  I was there fortunately until the calamitous day the Feds raided the place. But what a run we had!

I'd like to read a post thats at least vaguely comprehensible , this isn't one.

As I read about the ranch, it seems like it was quite a politically and economically savvy group.

HolyFlame777

I'll translate it for you, because I understood it pefectly fine:

It is every small-time thread writer's pleasure to have others stick around in their threads. I'd like to create a thread where people are free to be themselves, like Osho's Ranch in Oregon back in the 1980's, a place I was fortunate to be until the Feds raided the place!

What a run we had, and what a run such a thread could be.

Big belly Buddha  laugh and kudos to you dmx!

HolyFlame777

HolyFlame777, how active were you in the community before it was disbanded? Did you have a chance to found it, or did you move in after it was established?

Dude_3

wtf....

HolyFlame777

pure luck brought me there, all i did was reap the fruits of the commune, i was young hung and lucky,  i did a lot of work in the arboretum, in the commune everybody had a job and loved going to work!  I was not a founder but a luxuriant.  this was our society!  Open love, open thought, our own media  (of which i was now that i reflect upon it, a founder of sorts), imagine ! we had our own media , newspapers that wrote uncensored stuff about whatever we felt like!  In the evenings when the rhythm was right, the baghwan would come out for one of his awesome lectures,  zooom there would be an electric shock in the room you wouldnt believe, something beyond ordinary ele4ctricity,  after the lecture one could head over to the pub, drink and smoke weed openly anywhere you wanted was no problemo!  we were the cops!  Sheeeee, now that i look back on it!  A lot of brilliant and wealthy people were there from all over the world!  And yes there was a magnificent littlepark with chess tables by Krishnamurti Pond  ( a pond we made ourselves, planted the trees, designed the tables, everything!)

REVISED: Best thread ever

HolyFlame777

and i dint even mention the chicks guys, miles and miles of open hearted chicks!

marcosite

yeah right.  Were you dreaming at the time HolyFlame?

HolyFlame777

it was a great time until Uncle Seymour closed it down

marcosite

lucky for us chicks then?!  I don't want to step on toes HolyFlame.  I'm not american & don't understand the refrence to Seymour.   Call me a feminist but trying to appeal to other guys with 'open-hearted chicks' stories is mildly offensive.

Other than that...sounds rather nice.

HolyFlame777

sorry miss but that is the way it was  look up osho on u tube;  uncle Seymour is the power, the real power, the money power who runs Uncle Sam like its personal beeatch

So did you get to wash one of Baghwan's 93 Rolls Royces then?
