Time

I'm new to chess.com.  When I play a 10 minute or 1 minute game I appear to be allowed 10 minutes or 1 minute thinking time, not for each individual move, but cumulatively for all my moves.  At the end of the game if I'm ahead in points, but run out of time before my opponent, I lose the game.  So if a game will not end in checkmate before time runs out, is it more important to be ahead in time than in points?  What is the algorithm that reflects the relationship between points and time at the end of a game?  Thanks.

Comrade, my fingers are not quick enough to play 1-minute online. Vodka has shot my nerves. Try 15 minute or daily chess if 10 is not enough. Though comrade, 10 is plenty of time for most. Maybe, work on your game?

hahaha Vodka has shot your nerves...funny:)

anyway...try your hand at daily chess
