Yes, too many cheats on this site. Chess.com, it seems allow cheating for whatever reason to keep the numbers up.
Time Cheating on Chess.com
I would understand if the cheaters were 1300+ paying customers. But they are not. Moreover I can't tell you how many players I know refuse to start a pay subscription until they fix the computer accounts and time cheating. How hard is it to look for the known browser plug-ins and ban every account found to have it installed.
chess.com continues to infuriate me with time issues, sure only a fraction of games, but here's an example
https://www.chess.com/game/live/139713152122?move=30
after my 16th move, I was in a winning position, with 1:15 on the clock vs my opponent's ten seconds
on my screen, i watched his ten seconds tick down to 0.1 seconds, then stall, then a message came up on my screen that he'd won because i'd abandoned...what?
even if chess.com had detected some sort of connection irregularity on my end, which didn't seem to be the case to me, they gave me an abandoned loss with 0:40 on my clock vs my opponent's apparent 9.1 seconds after his last move which never showed up on my screen
glad i only use this site for fun, that's insane to hand me an 'abandoned' loss after i guess detecting some connection issue for twenty or so seconds, when I still had 4x the time left on the clock of my opponent
yes it real. Time cheating. Me, automatic not subscribed. Easy man.
