Let's all take vacation. I am not attacking you. You are the one who took me off as a friend just because I had a misunderstanding with another person that is now resolved. If you can't accept that you are high strung then live in your happy place.

Are you talking about the Open Discussion group? Because I had been thinking of quitting that group for some time, not that it's any of your business. It surely is up to you who you have as a friend Donna but I say it the way I see it and I think you are a pot-stirrer.
I think it would be good to allow people the full extent of their vacation, but limit the numer of times vacation may be taken, say to once or twice a month?
I'm probably gonna get crucified for suggesting such a thing.
So if I don't have timeouts, play mostly 3 day / move games, but sometimes also several 1 day / move games and use the vacation option granted by the site it means I'm an abuser? Interesting attitude :)
The reason that sometimes I play a few 1 day / move games is that I can make up to 3 moves a day on a mobile thus minimizing the chance of timeouts and the game challenges are too tempting to resist. Sometimes unexpectedly some long-forgotten 1 day / move team matches for which I registered show up, and in case I plan to go somewhere I'm forced to take a vacation since mobile moves would not assure missing timeouts.

Sorry please accept my apologies. Of course and I think everyone sees things like this happening. I am just now trying to defend myself against someone who assumes me to be unethical just because my games are on vacation.

Yes, it was a friendly unrated game. But when you go on vacation all 35 other of your games go on vacation too, regardless of time-per-move or friendliness.
And finally: No, I wasn’t accusing you, blackfire, of being unethical. I was making the same point that rooperi was making: “Vacation” is a status that most would assume is more than a 24 hour break away from access to the site.
That is to say, your friends may understand, but there are those people (especially likely in the tourneys you’re in) that are eager to move on in a game and wonder why they see you online, but not playing....
So it’s not a matter of ethical in your case, it’s a matter of courtesy.
And yes, I know I’m not being very courteous by calling you out on this but we’re not in a game and that’s not an expectation.
Well to all those games that I am on vacation with (yes the games in which it is my move so not all my games) even if I did not have vacation on it is my choice when to make a move. I mostly accept 5 day per move games and may not move in them for 3 days ... is THAT not allowed??
I think that you and DPenn are both pathetic for personally attacking me in this forum because I am defending someones right to be on vacation!!
Vacation is not to say someone is literally on vacation it means basically taking a break. I am a single mum with 2 young children so taking a REAL holiday is not very likely for me but taking 24-36 hours break IS my choice.
