TIME OUTS

A few weeks ago I accumulated too many timeouts so cannot join tournaments.  Any idea how long this restriction will be in place?

Thanks,

Gary

What are timeouts? Why can't I join tournaments because of them?

Timeouts occur when you lose an Online Chess game by running out of time.

Members who have timed out in more than 10% of their online games over the last 90 days are barred from joining tournaments.  (We do not want users joining if they are likely to abandon their games and prolong the event for nothing.)

To lower a timeout percentage, the member should complete more games, decreasing the percentage.  Again, we only look at the last 90 days, so it's not forever - unless the member is truly a habitual timer-outer.  :)

Makes sense.  My average has now dropped below 10% to 9.78% for the past 90 days.  Does this mean I am now eligible?
