A way to troll someone is get about to 6 moved and stall and ask the to resign and you will gift the a diamond membership *WHICH WON'T HAPPEN* so you win lo

binomine

I don't see a reason to troll someone in a winning position.

I mean, just mate them and move on. It's probably going to be faster than any sort of troll anyways.

Post their names to the boards.  The admins should block these people from renewing their memberships.

they wont

Nor should they.

If they truly have a lost position it should only be a few more moves to till mate anyhow.

they should, I am stronger than you so I know they should, after some time you'll realize it too.

Does your ego get in the way much?

I don't have one, I just did not know a better way to word it.

They won't mess up, at least in the 1850+ ish range

high rated players mess up, don't kid yourself.

Take this series of games between Levi Rozman and Greg Shahade- Levi admits to messing up and losing  games till he got his emotions in control.

It's completely your choice

The classic way to force resignation is to wait until it's mate in 1.

Then let your clock run down and make your last move when you have <1 second remaining.

quick question : Can you get banned for doing that?

It's the definition of stalling and it is both reportable and banable, although I've never heard of anyone who was banned for this.

Chess.com sides with people who want to play to mate.

I’ll just report them and message in game saying I reported them for stalling. It’s against the rules, but I don’t know if chess.com punishes people for doing it.

Don’t resign to show them how to be a good sport, lol. They’ll just happily take the free win and move on and do it again. If anything, just enjoy your win and move on.

Maybe we could have a forum section dedicated to posting the names of people who stall, too.

No they were talking about people who play until mate(whichever type)

I don't think that u should troll opponents who don't resign as not resigning isn't a bad thing

Nah it only counts as stalling if you're in a lost position.

If you're the one winning, then your opponent is stalling the game and they deserve it.

Ilampozhil25

um..arent you the one not moving. youre opponent might as well want to continue but you are not letting them so arent you stalling

This is at that point considered bad sportsmanship, your account can be restricted because of it. Stalling goes against our Fair Play rules:

Here is what is defined as stalling if you'd like to read further:

Couldn't agree more as a noob most games end before a geniune endgame. Through chess.com's drills, I know I am the worst at endgames. Balanced endgames or slight advantage endgames. Another note I sometimes wish I would have accepted a draw when someone offers it when I know I am going to win. Then I go on to hang mate or something. lol

The best way to troll a non-resigner is to keep draining their points away, until they rage quit and close their account in frustration. tongue.png
