Do they ? I think they get a fixed amount of warnings ,which is TOTALLY unfair . for eg - if you lose the right to chat in live after you use 3 abusive words , then you can use them 2 times without getting banned.
Who are we to decide what our opponent is doing on the other side of the board. We are so quick to judge are we not, just because we are made to sit and wait for our opponent to move we get impatient and start to make judgement.Yes having to sit still for a few minures will bring the sh_t up in peolpe.
thats why I play correspondance--------not many problems in 3o minute standard, maybe more a problem when in lbitz type of games
Yes. I see what you mean by "sportive loser" (sportieve verliezer). I'm like that about 3% of the time. I strive to be more sportsman like but it feels as though one gets old pretty quick if one doesn't find an outlet. So I yell at my computer about 90% of the time. The rest of the time I just let it cook/simmer and smoulder inside.
a win is a win but some guys need their opponents to recognize their superiority by appropriately resigning or playing on to mate. they try the disconnect trick since they know this infuriates the players who play to humiliate their opponents.
I just resigned in your game..
But be honest, you are not really the most sportive winner.
Telling someone the following within 10 seconds:
Bluesbuffett: gg
Bluesbuffett: bye
Bluesbuffett: graceful resugnation/
Bluesbuffett: ?
Does not really urge that player to be a sportive loser, does it?
I guess that there is some correlation with the way you address your opponents, and the amount of people that don't grant you a win.
Because of such bullshit comments my chat is disabled.
I don't think that's possible for us non-premium members.
It's not something I care about a lot, I play mostly 3 or 5 minutes so on the occasions when I encounter a disconnector it's only a minute or two to wait. Mildly annoying, but hardly the end of the world.
If disconnectors are such a problem for some, then I suggest they stop playing blitz or classical here and play them kind of games somewhere else. Just stick to correspondence chess here. There's no use disconnecting playing a game where you have 4 days to make a move.
By the way it's quite nasty when opponent closes the chat soon as the game begins, it seems as he's saying: I'm almost sure that you will use it to be nasty or rude.
Maybe you get that message everytime you play an opponent with "no chat" settings? I get this messages, too. But they can`t all react that fast. Don't take it personally!
Gee I've had it with opponents who face checkmate with minutes to go and disconnect. Disgracefully disrespectful and they deserve more than a pathetic
"awenthio may have violated our Fair Play policy - it has been noted and they may have their account restricted."
Means nothing and doesn't have any impact. How about a serious ban, chess.com??
