I know that Chess Free on the Android market has an option to disable the undo button, and you can save your game as exportable PGN when you are finished. The time used on each move is shown at the game review, but I do not know if the PGN saves that.
The chess engine has level 1 to 10 (do not ask me the ELO), but I am sure your kids won't beat all levels, especially with the disabled undo button.
This is not exactly what you asked, but I thought I might share it with you, since I highly doubt that there is software on the market that records 'undo' actions.
EDIT: I just verified that, when you save a game, it also saves the used time on each move. Again, it is saved under the app, not as exportable PGN, so I do not know about move timers in the PGN.
EDIT2: You can enable the undo button during a game, by going to options during the game. But as long they never knew it existed, they won't figure it out, or let's hope so :D
Hi, I am a new member. My kids are starting to play chess. I am looking for a chess software (or apps) that keeps a complete record of the game just played. By complete record I mean the following: 1. movements, 2. timestamps, 3. the number of times "undo" is pressed.
Here is the backgroud for such a request: whenever my kids play on the ipad or my android phone, they play very fast, and press undo whenever they hang a piece. This completely defeat the purpose of why I want them to learn chess. They cannot get away with doing this if the game is completely recorded (as I described).
Currently, I know online live games offer the features I want, but is too inflexible schdule wise.
Ideally, the software should have an adjustable ELO rating chess engine, and be able to analyze the game afterwards. I am willing to pay $$$ for these features, but with so many chess software (apps) on the market, I just don't know which ones, if any, that have the features I want.
I hope some knowledgable people here can give me some suggestions. Thank you very much.
