I have some problems with people in blitz chess who when their losing, spam pieces and time me out. Should I switch to rapid or is there some other solution?

Yes, it would certainly be better for you to play games with longer time control.
But to make it more difficult for your opponents to flag you, you may choose to use time controls with increment. I see that you play 5|0 games. You might consider playing 5|5 instead.
