It's one of my weaknesses too. By that, I mean I'm addicted to it!

Play openings with a lot of traps or opening systems where you develop the pieces the same way like the smith morra or colle system or london. Premove potential trades.

Any ones u would recommend?

Are you talking about tricky openings? If you are I recommend these:

White:

-Smith-Morra gambit

-Max lange and Morphy attack

-Advanced caro kann

Black:

-Albin Counter Gambit

Wow, aggressive! Thanks really helpful. U must play bullet a lot.

Third one doesn't work tho, it just says loading...

You want to improve at bullet? Improve playing longer time controls first. I've reached 1800 bullet and am staying there until I've got many more longer time control games under my belt, such as 3 day or 15/10. I might even play a few 30/0 OTB. I suggest you do the same.

Move really fast, don't get mated.

Try Benko gambit. Blackmar-Diemer gambit. Dunst opening. Eunglund gambit. Evans gambit. Larsen's opening. Ponziani's opening. Scotch opening. Reti opening just to name a few

I agree.

MithaliChess
  • Premove as often as possible - being ready to cancel if problematic
  • When given time scan the opponents position for their tactics/weaknesses
  • Compare time with opponent at regular intervals - especially towards endgame
  • Alternate between 'speed' moves and 'agressive/defensive' strategy based on time
  • Look for queen harass, knight splits and attack via passive pieces
  • Prevent castling or move early to break pawn defense in 'castle'
  • Mass piece exchange if up queen, rook or two knights/bishops
  • If stuck ask yourself 'where can I move?' as soon as possible
  • Move into aggressive yet safe positions to provoke a mistake

don't spend too much time on finding the really best move, sometimes time has more value than the position

Maybe I'm just not meant to be good at bullet chess...
