Tips for improving my gameplay

Hi besides the clear idiotic move of exposing my queen to that knight (why he did not take I don't know) what can I do to improve. I know a couple openings and I am trying to play only 1290 and up. Don't be a dick just becuase your 1500 does not mean your a GM. Other than that thanks for looking at this game. 

Also please tell me if he was letting me win besides not capturing the queen. 

Try to understand the intention behind your opponent's move (sometimes there is one...) and take your time to avoid 1 move blunders. For example 24 ... Qh4 threatens Qxh2+. True, 25. f4 prevents mate, but maybe you can find one or two better moves?

Also: in the opening try finishing your development first before doing active operations.
