Hi gyz ■ Can someome help me in deciding how to properly study chess???? I have many chess books and over the past 1 year I have read a few books like Chess for dummies, weapons of chess, Chess - How to Improve your technique(all of these i read about 7 months ago and then just a weeks ago I started started playing chess again) and Bobby fischer teaches chess.(I just finished) I am currently reading Soltis Andrew's Studying Chess made easy to make myself aware of all the good methods of study and all the wrong approaches of study like stupidity of studying openings first. Althought I know the basics I am going to be studying The Game of chess by Tarrasch after the above soltis book to go over the complete chess once again. Since after many months i am back to chess a reading of this will help get all the basics about the three phrases of the game back to my head. After this I am targeting to study the endgame. The book I have is Silman's Complete endgame course. ■ Now should I understand the complete book or read only till my level... like basic endgames???? ■ And then how should I proceed further???? I mean to say the order...like first a thorough tactics understanding book then basic checkmates book then strategy and planning and then a few openings and then some game collection book Please give me the right approach. My fav. player - Bobby Fischer
