today's puzzle?

Today's puzzle isn't making sense to. Why would black move his queen to g1 on move 4 of the puzzle only to have it captured by the white King on the next move? I didn't see any reason that move would have been forced and there look to be many better alternatives for black.
Strangemover

There are no moves for black. The king has no moves. The only pawn move is g4 but then Bf6 is mate. Therefore the queen must move from f2, but if it leaves the 2nd rank eg Qe1 there is g3 mate because the g2 pawn is no longer pinned to the king. If it doesn't cover the g3 square eg Qe2 there is Bg3 mate. So the only move to prolong the game by one more move is the pointless Qg1+ sacrifice.

Thanks. I'm seeing it now. That's a good one.
