Too much of a mixed bag

I'm learning nothing. I either get someone who is legitimately sub 600 or someone who are clearly way above 600 and never hang a piece or make a bad move probably messing around on a secondary account. I either get smashed or my opponent resigns well before I can actually see if I can win. This isn't fun anymore, I can't learn to capitalise on a position where I'm not getting smashed because all my opponents keep resigning way too early. There should be a bot that allows you to finish games so I can actually learn if I can win a game for real. Anyway, I think I'm done with chess. I can't tolerate getting smashed by people who are clearly way above the elo it says they are or people who only play if they're winning otherwise they resign. Or maybe I should do what so many people here are doing, tank my elo and then beat up on players who aren't at my level.

There's been many threads on the topic of resigning. It's seen as good sportsmanship to do it in a clearly lost position. The losing player isn't wasting both player's time. But if you think there's a good chance the winning player will blunder and the game can turn your way then play on. Another reason to continue would be because you feel your opponent doesn't know how to win in a winning position. They might offer a draw. Your adversaries are paying you a compliment or maybe don't have the time to continue. But a win's a win.
