Hello,

I'm a beginner and want to improve my chess opening. I've been looking for a software/tool to start recording my chess opening repertoire. I used Chess Position Trainer but did not like it and have difficulty using it with engine analysis and amendments. What do you advice for me to start with?

Thanks a lot

You are not a beginner. You are rated 1649 in blitz. That ranks you ahead of 94% of the blitz players here.

( Everyone else who answers will say that beginners shouldn't focus on openings very much.)

The Game Explorer here shows the lines you play and your results.

I think I'm going to use this tool: https://chessflare.com/en

If you’re looking for a free chess opening analysis tool, I highly recommend AiChessCoach.net. It works with your own games from Lichess and Chess.com, and you can have it analyze your last 200, 500, or even 1000 games. The site highlights recurring mistakes in your repertoire and suggests stronger moves used by top players, making it easier to improve your chess openings step by step. It’s one of the most practical ways to improve your openings directly from your personal game history.
