I do not know I just know MRayelABC is number 1
Top 5 Chess Players of ALL TIME (opinion/debate/controversial?)
I find it ridiculous how people can have capablanca higher than Lasker when they played in the same sort of time period and Lasker dominated
Think it’s probably due to the impact capa had on certain aspects of the game… like no one came close to his endgame skills again for decades and decades

Lasker was 55 years old in this tournament and still finished ahead of prime capablanca lmao

It's probably because Capablanca defeated Lasker so convincingly in their WC match. Although to be fair to Lasker, he was past his prime then, and Capa was 20 years younger.
1. Kasparov ( GOAT, INSANE ELO WITH INSANE OPPONENTS, ALWAYS 2700+ elo for around 30 YRS)
2. Magnus ( STOCKFISH PREPERATION, INSANE ACCURACY, MULTI FORMAT)
3.Capa (INSNAE ACCURACY, INSANE OPPONENTS, INSNAE EVEN THOUGH HE DOSENT HAVE PERKS OTHERS DID)
4. Fischer ( INSANE ACCURACY, MOST SUPREME SHORT REIGN)
5. Kramniik/Vishy (INSNAE ACCURACY, RAINED SUPREME FOR MOST YEARS, INSANE OPPONENTS EVERY YEAR)
2. Magnus ( STOCKFISH PREPERATION, INSANE ACCURACY, MULTI FORMAT)
Magnus isn't really a Stockfish prep guy. He glances at engines lines, shrugs, then does his own thing.
Some people like Tal (At peak was absolutely insane), Lasker ( Most years supreme but no as hard as opponents as Capa so he dosent have something ‘special’ but I wouldn’t be mad if you put him in list) or current sgm+( people with engine prep 2800+ elo) could be put on list to Tom people ahead of their time too (morphy, alkheine etc,)
2. Magnus ( STOCKFISH PREPERATION, INSANE ACCURACY, MULTI FORMAT)

Yeah but he grew up learning in the era of engines so he has some knowledge compared to like Kasparov and capa
If Magnus is insane for more years he would probably take Capablanca s place and more years after that maybe Kasparov too

Well ...
Magnus was nearly 2800 before Stockfish was even invented ...
He's more the old-school generation. He reached GM by playing a lot over-the-board, training with coaches, and reading a ton of books.
He definitely has a lot of Stockfish knowledge nowadays (as everyone does) - but it wasn't how he learned.

Yeah that was prime Capablanca against a 55 year old Lasker it's not fair. Lasker was world champion for the longest time in history
1. Magnus!!
2. Bobby Fischer
3. Judit Polgar
4. Hikaru Nakamura
5. Javokhir Sindarov
