Ha, Chess... best player in the world is a computer for chess, but for Go and amature can beat the best computures. Pro-Go players could give 25 stones to a computure and kick its *bleep*. Also, handicap works in Go, something you can't do in chess. Go is the most fascinating, challenging, profound, ultra simple and ultra complex both at the same time, ultra balanced and detailed, flexible, versatile and most ancient of games. Nothing else in the history of existenece is even remotely as good as the ancient game of Go. Choosing between Go and Chess is like choosing between living on Earth or on the Moon.

I think you may be a bit out of date - didn't a Go computer just win a match against the world champion?

Well, then you go on to step 2, the voluntary requirement!

BlitzIsLife

then y not just punch him in the face and make him unconcious and then switch sides?

tactical_sniper

Oh, you're planning on stopping at the unconscious stage? OK we can go with that.

This may seem rather revolutionary for you chess players, but how about swapping the pawns for draughts/checkers pieces?

BlitzIsLife

lol... nice out-of-the-box idea

OK, next lesson! Find the best move for purple!

ChessPlayinDude47

I singe the birdy electric.

Huh?

Just some Walt Whitbird, relax peephole.

1. e8=purple?!

Although if I were to promote to a certain color, I'm
certain it should be yellow! (eg: 2. f3-f8=yellow!)

Well, it's time to preen my feathers, kids, and wait in
high suspense for the results - the answer...

Bawker

Your puzzle is insanely easy!  The answer is O-O-O-O-Oxt9# !

That makes no sense.  Did you consider 36. O-O-O-O-OXT9+ BU9! which clearly blocks the check.  Solution is Ka5 - Negative a5

"Did you consider 36. O-O-O-O-OXT9+ BU9! which clearly blocks the check."

That is right! That is why Mr. Bawker's solution fails. But yours is not right either due to the negothrusters on the half bishops which intercept any attempts to go into the negatives! Try again!

Bawker

Ahhhh... it becomes clear to me now.

The half bishop negothruster self-checkmate by using the color inverter cardinal piece is clearly the path to victory!  This is, without doubt, the most instructive thread currently open on chess.com.

tactical_sniper

Yes! And they are free, too!

ChessPlayinDude47

Free as a bird?

Bawker

Free as in worth every penny you pay for them! happy.png

So when your king jumps off the board to evade checkmate, he can automatically claim a victory due to the opponents ineptitude?
