Tournament administration

I appreciate the contributions of many of the TD's on this site who set up interesting and fun tournaments. However, when I go to look at upcoming tournaments and I see three pages of tournaments set up by two people with most with no variation or rating limits and most with no participants registered, I have limited incentive to plow through them to see some of the other unique ideas and offerings from other members of the community. Is there a specific reason or need that anyone needs to set up 15-20 tournaments at a time? How about generating some interest first before creating multiple tournaments along a line? As an example, Rathi_dragon has run numerous fun tournaments but he never had more than few filling at any given time and from what I can see he always had good consistent participation. Just like a buffet, just because its there and you can have it doesnt mean that you have to.
