40/120, SD/60, d/5
120 minutes for the first 40 moves, followed by 60 minutes for the rest of the game (sudden death), with a 5 second delay.
2-day option, rounds 1&2 G/75, d/5.
There's an option to play with tournament over two days, with 75 minutes for the game with a 5 second delay for the first two rounds.
One 1/2-point bye any round, commit by end of round 2.
You can skip one round and receive 1/2 point for it, but you must commit before the end of round two.
Reentry available in all sections ($30)...start over Saturday on 2-day schedule, 1st round won't count for tournament (but will be rated).
I assume this means you can play the first round, then re-enter the tournament under the two-day option. In this case the first round won't count for the tournament but will still be rated.
New guy interpretation question. I found a tournament with the following "format" and I'm not sure what I'm reading. I understand that Swiss structure (paired with someone near same rating). Lost on pretty much the rest of the listing -- any help is appreciated...
Format: 5 round Swiss, 40/120, SD/60, d/5. 2-day option, rounds 1&2 G/75, d/5. One ½-point bye any round, commit by end of round 2. Sets provided, bring clocks. Reentry available in all sections ($30)...start over Saturday on 2-day schedule, 1st round won't count for tournament (but will be rated).
