Does it matter what your score is in the first round if you go to the second? Because I have a good winning score in a tournament but I'm wondering if that will carry over or if it will help me at all win the tourney

@OP: Your overall score could have an impact. If you win the final round, then you will win the tournament, even if your overall record is worse than another player's. However, if you tie for first in the final round, the overall record may serve as the tiebreaker and determine the winner. I have not seen this happen in my experience yet.

well that stinks. I've finished all 8 games with a 7 win 1 loss and it's probs good for nothing. dangggggggggggg it

@OP: Seven points in eight games is still an outstanding performance. Hang in there, win as many games as you can, and see what happens! You may still win.

I won one tournament after finishing 22-1-1, and I took second in another with a record of 14-2-4. One needn't be flawless to win an event.

Thanks! And yeah I'm definatley gonna go for the gold, the problem right now is that only half of the first round games have been completed, so it might be a while until the second round. But until then, I'll probs just study some more chess so I'll have a better chance in round 2. I guess we'll see how it goes. Smile
