in as much as the brain has different processes of thinking, one has to train the brain mentally  by images or diagrams and books of learning or tactics trainer puzzle and almost every tools of chess we can grasp upon perhaps by trial and error.one has to train  also his emotions as it is also a part of the thinking process for the chess battles ahead, for his advantages not disadvantages.  and lastly with chess objectivity as to what department of chess needs improvement and advance studies and research or exploring for further development.being fully equip and prepared for the chess battles ahead is advantageous to ones learning.

If I may add, chess training also has to be fun. :) I mean why would you do something that takes A LOT of time and effort if it's not fun? Right?

Also, another underrated factor in chess improvement and training is having some company... some buddies (whether online or offline) to do it together.

Well, unless you are the Fischer-type-of-guy who works best when alone. BUT for regular folks like us, having someone to give you a pat on the back for a game well played or to someone to cheer you up after a shattering loss would be VERY helpful.

That said, I hope you can join me at my blog:

I want this to be my online chess improvement blog / diary...and any input would be very appreciated. Matter of fact, I just posted a stupid loss and I'm looking to devise my own training plan... hopefully with your help guys. :)
