Trash talking in chess.

Chatting can be an effective tactic! If your opponent is trying to process something you said and think of a comeback, that's less concentration on the position. As long as it's not vulgar, crude, racist, mean-spirited, etc., I say it's all good fun and part of the game. And if you don't like it, you can literally disable it and never know the difference, so what's the point of complaining?
I just got supremely tilted entirely because of a trash talker. I played a wild game with what I thought was a winning attack, but I was dead lost long before I realized it. At the exact moment I was dead lost according to the engine, my opponent started sending crying emojis and insults using profanity and asking for personal information. My opponent made all her moves instantly as the verbal attacks kept coming. I don't understand why anyone acts like this. The world is full of people being horrible to each other.
