Just played an insteresting 15|10 game.

I'm rated just above 1000.

In winning position (up about a rook), first time I decided to try something complicated to see what happens, rather than to exchange and win smoothly.

However I failed and wrecked my position. In later review the ios app show I was still up about 2 pawns, but the position seemed unplayable and soon I was irretrievably losing. Besides, the previous try took so much time and I had only a few minutes left.

To make the try worthy, I decided not to resign, until my opponent mated my lone king with his knight, bishop, and a promoted queen.

Some time if you have advantage over your oponant then it is better to play safe and get a win.

But if you take risks you need to think about all the moves to the mate and be sure you are right about it. This is also a problem for me because I think it could work but find hard to play it in my brain first. But some time you just have to gamble and see how it happens.
