Trying to explain the lack of female interest in chess

It’s a board game that doesn’t impress my friends, family, professional colleagues and never mind girls. Chess players are viewed as bunch of nerds.
But when I mention my Gibson J45; it gets asked for me to play and sing at dinner parties and camp fires all the time.
Have a plan b.

"Males naturally gravitate towards activities involving complex logic "
I will never look at my barbecue weekends with the buds the same again.

"Grueling" huh? How many games have you actually played?
A lot of chess players need to get over themselves lol, smh….

i dont think chess is as one sided as people make it seem, i think women just get easily intimidated but they can be as interested in chess as men i think, id imagine (for the millionth time) that were better at because of evolution. We like to figure out problems, so do women but i think (its backed) that they are more likely to be interested in other things, like relationships or w.e. there's a stigma women being smart. Most get laughed at, and other societies practice this. I dont know much though, this just from inference reading news w.e. We have different interests, thats all it is i think
All I can say is wow. Men are better at chess because of evolution? Wow.

Pretty sure that the person that posted this topic doesn’t have a partner is not in a relationship and knows next to nothing about the opposite sex. There are plenty of Men reading this that probably agree with the comment but know better than to express these opinions in an open forum

So, is it due to evolutionary forces that your grammar and spelling are so horrible? If the ability to know language is a prerequisite to understand any science, why should anybody agree with your assertions about science? You probably aren't even able to understand the advanced text used in science books.

Chess is a game of mental warfare waged on the 64 black and white squares. It is a contest to prove your strategical and tactical superiority over the opponent. It is governed by the rules of ruthless logic and sheer complexity.
Males naturally gravitate towards activities involving complex logic and the added attraction of chess is that it can fuel the competitive drive and provide a positive way to channel aggression.
Whereas many women might ask "why do men waste their time on a silly board game?", most men tend to avoid the question entirely and instead are instinctively focused on challenging and crushing the person sitting on the other side of table in a grueling battle of determination and wits.
What you wrote is a bunch of culturally biased non-sense. What you wrote makes many assumptions which themselves need to be proven. But what is more, there are cultures, and well as groups within chess playing cultures, who either do not play chess at all, or who do not put as much value into something like chess or its variants yet have all sorts of advancements and development in various fields. Essentially, your idiotic statement only proves your own ignorance about humanity and about chess.

women spend more time nurturing men spend more time in a ruthless competitive setting i.e capitalism the world is corrupt is what im saying
Punctuation!.....is what I'm saying.

This discussion is lacking in data. My guess is that chess, like many other competitive activities, is currently predominantly male because of a social history that encouraged men to be competitive and women not so. Women are now taking a more prominent role in areas that have historically been male, and I suspect that in a generation or two, the history will have been overcome, and the top ranks of chess will consist of more equal numbers of men and women, as we're seeing happening in business, politics, medicine, engineering, science, etc.

I love those short scale Gibsons! So easy to play
Thanks!
24.5” scales gives it that signature twang and radio rock and roll sound!

is this a rehash of @docwimz's recent topic just before he/she/it/they got muted and closed their account?

All I know is I had a coach for the summer and she was a 1900 FIDE female and she is awesome.
I have access to a strong female playing partner and she is awesome.
I have one female student and she is heads above shoulders to the males. Guess what? She is awesome too.

I think OP is 12. 13 max. Isn't there an age limit on this site?
