Shouldn't the WORLD Chess Champion have a verified twitter account?

Not if he doesn't feel like it.

It think twitter does the verification manually on their end.. I guess the twitter staff aren't chess fans after all.

Looks like a group account.  Lots of people posting on Magnus's behalf.  Group accounts verify slowly, if at all.

Not that the world is begging for verification of an account where the actual guy has made a few dozen tweets of his own, mostly about kicking a soccer ball.
