And then I woke up....serious question though has anyone here actually had a match with any famous GM? Do they play here often?

Hikaru Nakamura plays here. Although he mostly plays against other GMs.

The Chessbrahs - Eric Hansen, Robin Van Kampen and Aman Hambleton (all GMs) - often play here and seem willing to play against users of all skill levels.
