Underpromotion to knight

After losing 4 straight blitz games this game brought me hope... Have you guys ever intentionally underpromoted to a knight or bishop? If so, I'd love to see it.

There is the Lasker Trap in the Albin Countergambit. I've not yet had a chance to play it but I'm hoping I will one day.
Your is a nice one.

That’s a beautiful trap, the queen is lost no matter what! And thank you very much, wish I concentrated and played like this all the time haha.

Always gotta be cheeky lol at least the engine didn't think it was an inaccuracy, and yeah I can only dream of checkmating like that, a knight underpromotion mate after sacking queen is something else

So easy it is basically 1. Qh6+ Kxh6 [1... Bxh6 2. f8=N#] 2. fxg8=N#

So many people think this is easy. It's not easy, it's just easIER because you already know what to look for. In my case it was ponzs advice to look for crazy checks. In this case, underpromotion. If anything about it is easy, it's that it would be easy to not find in a real game.

True ghost, I may be trusting the engine a bit too much when it comes to analyzing games.

Would you instead recommend replaying the games played w/o engine assistance and looking for moves missed that could’ve been played?

And good luck setting up a queen sac followed by a knight underpromotion mate in a real game :)

Here is a real game i played...[The Ponziani, of course!]

 15 minutes per side game.

I do not have automatic queen thing.  Yes it was from a real game--15 minutes for each side.  However, i had seen the same moves played before and the same moves are in my co authored book--Play the Ponziani.
