Disgusting! The same has happened with me, I can't seem to be able to find anyone with a rapid rating lower than mine. It is clearly a flaw in the website that has gone on for too long.

Instead of complaining about playing an even amount of players above and below your rating, try getting good and improving so that you can beat the higher rated people to improve YOUR rating. I didn't know it was possible for someone to be so whiny, especially not on a (usually) more civil site like this one.
Battling stronger players will help you strengthen your playing ability. Chess.com is just giving a variety of players to you. Also just like everyone else said you can change the settings to appeal to what you want.
