Unnecessary mistakes

I'm significantly worse in Blitz than I am in Rapid, and I think one of the main raisons for this (beside the fact that I'm not playing that much blitz) is that I often make really silly mistakes. Most players I play against really don't play very good, but still they don't make so silly mistakes and always catch mine, therefore when I win in blitz it's almost never because I punish a blunder but I have to fight a long battle.

Take this 2 games for example I played against the same guy.

But for every game I outplay my opponent there are THOSE games.....
The end was a clicking mistake

one should add that in the lastgame i this was undefendable anyway but I really did NOT see the simple Qxg2 because i was thinking about the queenside.

Can someone give me a tipp about how to focus?

I try to only make necessary mistakes.

If it makes you feel better, even GMs make stupid mistakes playing blitz. It is pretty much an inevitable part of the game, unless you are stupid good at it like Nakamura. And he probably makes them too.

I have watched a GM miss mate-in-one against him and wasn't in a crazy time scramble, just the usual madness.

When people post blitz games here, it makes an easy target. Since virtually everyone blunders in blitz, it is easy to belittle the hapless victim.  Cheer up, your rating in blitz, unlike mine, is well above average.

And if someone does give you a hard time about your blunders, just look at their games. You'll find plenty of ammo to shoot back.

I think you should give a quick scan of the board before playing your move, because doing a move without looking at what could happen is a fatal mistake which also leads to me losing in lots of games. Keep a clear head, and keep an eye on your pieces and the other pieces. It is better to lose by time rather than lose with silly mistakes.

Thanks for the replies, it just feels like my oppononts don't nearly blunder as often as I do
