Unusual checkmate

My unusual checkmate was a pawn and a rook. It took my opponent by surprise because he was pressing me for checkmate himself. It happened during the middle game. As I was defending myself he gave me a couple of opportunities to move my pawn. My pawn was no real threat to his king nor was it about to promote. It was really a combination of back row mate and smothered king mate because I moved my rook to back row and because of his own pawns, the only place he could move was a square my pawn was defending. Checmate.
In all of the chess games you have played, what is the most unusual checkmate you have done.
My most unusual checkmate is when I mated my brother with three pawns (no promotion) and a king -whilst playing white- versus his black king. Can anybody match this.
