USCF name change?

My first, middle, and last names are all very common in the US. In any given populated area there are always a few dozen men that share my name.

When I first registered with USCF a year or so ago, the TD helping me asked if I had any unique variants of my name I'd like to use. At the time I declined, thinking that surely it was more trouble than it was worth.

Since then my registration has expired for the year and I'm about to renew. I am wondering if it is indeed possible and/or acceptable to use an alternate, "stage" name of sorts. I'm thinking of simply using my mother's maiden name in place of my own surname, as is it far more unique and recognizable.

Does USCF allow this, and if so how should I go about it?

Can you use four names? Your first, second, last and finally your mother's maiden name. Where I live people have 4 names although I am not sure if the USFC allows that.

You can probably change your name by contacting the USCF but you may have trouble if your regular ID doesn't match your USCF information.

Four?Surprised   You come from the land of 4 named people?  like George Herbert Walker BushSmile  You don't sound like the land of 1 named people, like Madonna, or Cher, or Sting.  I some from the land of 3 named people like, Sarah Jessica Parker, or Julia Luis Dreyfus.
