Can someone please tell me how to play USCF online rated games on chess.com?

You have to be in a club that is a US Chess affiliate that holds rated tournaments.

One example is the USChess - Members Only Club but there are a lot of other affiliates running events.

I saw somewhere about USCF-rated games on Chess.com only counting toward a "USCF Online Rating"...what if one only has an OTB rating from years ago??

Online ratings are initialized based on existing ITB ratings and that gets used in the rating formula.
