USCF Senior Master (SM)

I'm curious to know how many players in the US (USCF) are or achieved Senior Masters (USCF 2400+) . And do players now still go after or purse that stats after achieving National Master (NM 2200+). As I researched the history of the Senior Master (SM) title, it's the highest title a player in USCF can get after National Master, which is very difficult.
