so first of all...
it is totally common especially in longer games to have a second board set up with the current position.
but many people (I think) will not like the idea that you are all checking out what happens in the variations if you move one way or another.
in OTB chess, you must see all of this in your head....
Is it a form of cheating to use a second board to play out potential moves? Otherwise it comes down to memory, and how good it is, how far into the future of the game I can memorize
.I'm playing the computer, and matching it's moves on the board. Then play out about 8 different or so moves, all the way to my check mate. Though the enemy and I have lost equal number of pieces, he has the upper hand, and I'm on the run. Another interesting thing is seeing a actual large chess board, and not a lap top screen. The screen is more condensed and eaiser for me to sink my mind into. I'm playing on the "Impossible" setting with the software chess game. Not doing to bad so far. Playing out potential move senarios on the board before I make my move in the computer has made it more interesting.
