3-check is not chess

The object in chess is to bring the opponent's king into checkmate. In 3-check is... to do 3 checks

That was Roger's claim. But my argument was that 3-check is a form of chess since it inherits all of the piece movements and victory conditions — the only difference is that it grants players one additional play to win the game. Using the logic you gave, one could also argue that bullet chess is not chess since the objective is primarily to "flag" the opponent instead of playing good moves to checkmate them.

For clarification, note that I will consider this "adoption" a 3-check adoption, nothing more.

Ngl i think that ke2 could probably adopt roger in regular chess, so i think the best way to settle this would be to have a regular adoption match. if roger succeeds, then ke2 doesn't get to say he adopted him at all. but if ke2 wins, then he can claim he double adopted roger

Yes @Roger436 is just salty. Also can you adopt me sometime soon?

I do not understand how him claiming I failed to adopt him in blitz gives the right to claim that I did not adopt him in 3 Check. But I would be interested to play a standard adoption match against Roger once this matter is settled.

you're right. I think you adopted him fair and square.

The settings for that poll were probably different.

What Roger does not realize is that if he acknowledged that I adopted him fair and square, he would have suffered less public humiliation for I would have no reason to post this thread.
