How are you able to spot the correct square with these settings, for example if it says c1, then depending on the bottom, your answer will change right, so sometimes I'm getting it right and sometimes wrong. What do you think?

within 30 minutes of trying for the first time this I got a personal best of 26/26 with a mouse, but I'm getting carpal tunnel lol. I want to be able to follow chess commentary better by being able to identify squares as fast as possible.
39 white, 37 black, 30 black or white 
My best is 51/51. I first struggled to get 20. Then I improved.
Now something is wrong for a long time and coordinates appear with some delay :/
No way would I pay that much for a Samsung or an Apple or any phone for that matter. I got my new as a gift or I'd be rockin my 6+ still. For what I use it for, and I'm guessing most other people as well, doesn't justify the cost. But...... I did get 649 taps so then again.....
