Is there a way to move pieces using the chess board notations? It would be helpful to be able to say: e1 to e8. My hands are paralyzed. I can move A piece on the board with floppy fingers But sometimes it takes me two or more tries to get the piece to the correct destination. Practically, this is killing me in the puzzles area. I keep dropping the piece on the wrong square and it counts against my points. There is no way to undo it is there? This is so frustrating. On one puzzle it was an easy move to checkmate by dragging my rook from e1 to e8 but I dropped the piece along the way and my ratings went down. This has happened with several puzzles.

You can just click on the piece and then click on the square you want to go to. You don’t have to drag it.

I saw a YouTube user type in the move he wanted to make in a blindfold chess setting. I can't remember if it was this site or another one... but if you can find that setting, hopefully your regular voice-to-text program would be able to put in the moves

Thanks

I had a little more time to research blindfold chess, which is a "piece style" under settings. It hides the pieces, which makes sense, but is unhelpful for your needs. I think chess.com should add typing in the move to their "move method" options.

Typing moves would be helpful, and I tried out spacepodz’s suggestion and it works for me, too.

Thanks so much Eigenarr01. I am definitely going to try that.
