Vote chess headaches

Recently I was part of a vote chess game where my team lost on time.

Now, here's the thing, it's not that nobody took part, there was a lot of discussion, and a lot of time, so we decided to wait for a day or two before deciding.

But, there are no reminders or alerts, and everybody just forgot to vote.

I would like to see a list of all my vote chess games, with a clear indication of whose move it is, and how much time is left over.

It would also be nice to know whether any votes have been cast, and how many. I see no reason why this information should be hideden from players who have not yet voted?

I have also wondered why the votes cast is hidden from members who have not yet voted? Anyone who has already  voted can just post this in the discussion anyway.

I really enjoy vote chess, for me it is a great learning tool, following the in-game thought processes of players stronger than myself. I just wish it was a little easier to navigate.

Any comments, please?

Anyone else?

I trust that would be a turn for the worst, once a lot of (lazy) players would simply take a look at the move standings and vote whichever was voted more, given it's not an evident blunder. So, pretty soon all vote chess games would be decided not by mindful debate regarding candidate moves, but whose team has the bigger number of "go with the flow" voters.

So, regarding the reminder to vote, aye. On the current votes thingy, nay.

My point is that it is common practice anyway for people who voted to post the current vote standings in the discussion.

It is just in the case I'm referring to, nobody voted, so nobody posted.

AWARDCHESS

I played hundred and hundred Vote Games for my 70 Teams!

I am disappointed that all problems above still exist, and nobody take a charge to drastically change the Vote Chess situation for better!

Also Vote games are dying, because a "Leaders" are just cheating, inviting new and small Teams to play 2 hours, 1 hour, 30 min, 10 min Vote Games!

I pointed it Openly before, without any serious positive discussions and results... Even worse, my Posts were Deleted!

A HA HA HA HA HA HA HA, my boss i looking funny at me, I cant stop laughing!!

One thouht about team vote games.

40% of people open vote list and play most voted move

40% of people read comments and play the move suggested by the guy who posted longest explanation even if he has no idea what he is talking about.

20% open the game, look at the board and make a move.

kco

I suppose that the name of the game.

LOL. And here I thought I was convincing people...

dkmare

If I like the move suggested, I just copy and paste to let others see how the voting is going. If I dislike the moves suggested, I will say so and why. Secondly, no communication then I leave them to their own devices. Thirdly, even when you have explained sufficiently or not, it amazes me how they can still choose the most stupid of moves.

I agree that users should have the option to see what votes have been cast. Those who don't want wouldn't have to use it.

WildFireMayhem

I don't play vote chess because I don't believe that anyone can come up with a better move than I can.  I agree though, I can envision people with a lot of current games and a lot of team memberships... just going through the motions and picking the most popular move for no reason outside of laziness.

philtheforce

yep that is what sometimes tends to happen
