Jabbok, the time controls in vote games vary between 10 minutes per move all the way up to three days I believe. You can only vote when it is your team's turn. If you can't vote, it's probably because the other team has not made their move yet. Once they have made their move, type in which move you like and why in the Team Comments section, and then wait, and read the other player's comments, and respond. Usually, once it is getting near the end of your turn, the team captain will choose one or two of the moves, and then everyone votes for one of those moves. What makes vote chess so interesting is that you can discuss all the different possibilities with your team mates, and learn from them.
onetwentysix, vote chess does have a chess960 option.
I really don't understand this "Vote Chess". I get notices to sign up, I go there and nothing happens. I go to a game and it says something like "47 minutes until your next move". I go back and nothing happens.
