Why is Tartakower eliminated? Is this poll about who our favourite players are? Or is it about who we think the best player is? Tartakower was a leading grandmaster in his day and never the strongest in the world but certainly a very popular individual with a wit and wisdom that assures him a place in chess history and certainly makes him my favourite, even if I think the best was probably Fischer or Capablanca.
