Hello all. I live in Iowa, a sparsely populated state, and literally live next ot a cornfield. I really would like to play chess outside of chess.com (in the "real world"), but I'm not sure shere to start. What do you suggest?

Check out the USCF (United States Chess Federation) list of clubs for a good starting point.  http://www.uschess.org/assets/msa_joomla/AffiliateSearch/clubresultsnew.php?st=IA&pg=1

First, you need a genuine crop circle in your cornfield. Next, you put a coffee maker and some tables in your barn. Third, buy some chessboards. The crop circle will attract many visitors. Some will hang out waiting for aliens, ufos, or more crop circles. Finally, your barn will be used as a coffee house for playing chess, talking about ufos, etc.

This is my real world suggestion, good luckSmile

Have you made a crop circle yet?

Still waiting for the corn to grow. In the meantime, I alternated my planting of soybeans and corn to make a checkerboard :)
