The vast majority of them are. For example, the current QAnon conspiracy theory (that Trump and Biden have had their faces surgically swapped and it's really Trump in the White House, not Biden) is frankly lunatic.

As a retired psychiatrist who worked in the field for a long time, I think that Fischer suffered from chronic paranoid delusions.
I agree with ezeldin1 and think that he also had an strong obsessive streak as he spent most of his waking hours in childhood and young adult years working on chess to the near-exclusion of any other activity.
