Anyway, Pakistan was apart of India then. All I know is that chess is very old and that some kings and noblemen enjoyed playing it. I think chess originated in India. Not 100% sure but, it is similar to chaturanga.
Actually they were Indians, but just like Jesus we tend to "whiten" them. Jesus was a Palestine, how can he be white? Fred Flinstone was an Indian, and Barney, I think he was Sri Lankan but lived his life in India.

No one has claimed that it is, Lahore, Pindi were all part of Northwest India before partition as you are no doubt aware so its entirely plausible that chess if it originated in North West India originated in what is now Pakistan.
I'm gonna argue that chess was invented in Italy or Spain, since earlier forms were different to what we see today.
To say chaturanga is chess is like saying rugby is football. Rugby was invented when William Webb Ellis picked up a football and ran with it. Isn't this similar to saying "let's change how the pieces move"?

You're right. I wasn't particularly accurate, I was simply making the point that football gave birth to a different game thanks to an incident in which a rule was broken.

Yes in all likelihood chess was invented in India. That's another reason why I like the Indian people.
