It was a ridiculous question answered in the best way possible by a seasoned pro :)

It shouldn't have been answered because it shouldn't have been asked!  Still funny seeing Anand's grin though!

Now I would love to see the rest of the questions..

What was Vishy supposed to say? "Magnus' preparation sucks, and I am going to crush him like a bug in the following games."?

Especially the juxtaposition of his grin and Carlsen just continuing to stare blankly into space throughout. The disparity between their respective demeanours is really quite something Laughing

He said something similar in that interview in answer to another question - "Yes, the novitiate is shaping up quite well", or something like that, again with a big grin. Even Carlsen had to laugh at that one.

I agree. This whole press conference is a complete farce, and in some ways, quite unfair too. They have just had 4 hours of absolute intense concentration. To throw them in with a bunch of folks who are clearly looking for a juicy tidbit...not in good taste at all.

Anand can of course handle it, but Carlsen...I felt sorry for him when he was asked that supremely idiotic question about Kasparov.

I did love Anand's response to the Kasparov question: "oh, is he like Elvis, now?" - priceless :)
