Why are some folks so sensitive?
So, what if somebody said something about women, or any other group or person? Agree or disagree and move on. Don't worry about it, lighten up!
Everybody's entitled to their opinion; everybody has one. Don't take it personally. Don't expect everybody to be like you; don't expect everybody be politically correct. Political correctness, in my not so humble opinion, is stupido!

Everyone is entitled to express opinions, but implied quotes should at least be accurate, and not fabricated in order to slander a person. GM Short never wrote the words that the OP implies.
Read the two New In Chess articles. How many shrill critics have actually read them before rushing to attack? (based on nothing but other commentators' misrepresentations) And then they compound their laziness and dishonesty by fabricating quotes.
