wayward queen is not a bad opening
Wayward queen attack. why do people play it. It's bad

wayward queen IS refuted by a line that not a lot of people know about but is actually quite strong
It would be a refutation if white was forced to take the pawn, but 5.Ne2 and white is fine. Wayward queen is fully playable and IM Perunovic is working on a lifetime repertoire for chessable based around it.

The Wayward Queen Attack was made famous by @JUNIOR-BOT, and many people lost against him, so many people think that it's a good opening but if you don't know what you are doing, then it's very likely you'll lose a lot of time(in all three ways)...
Here's an example

which neurotypical person plays 5.Nc3 instead of Ne2
Those who don't have brain cells(like @farazbun [just jk])

I play Ne2 and white's fine after that if they're familiar with the opening
Honestly, I play 1... e6, so I'm safe from this opening...

I play Ne2 and white's fine after that if they're familiar with the opening
And the queen's gambit is better!

It's definitely not the best way to fight for a win but contrary to popular belief, white isn't desperately fighting for a draw after the opening stage
I've quit on hating on the Wayward and my tip is to not care! That's right, don't care about your opponent's moves. Just enjoy the game and they're just trying to give you a chance to win some free rating points. Just don't care about it.
